GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

UZBEKISTAN

Bukhara Road Network Improvement Project - Phase I

The Republic of Uzbekistan intends to apply for financing in the amount of about US$ 206,5 equivalent from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) toward the cost of the Bukhara Road Network Improvement Project - Phase I, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The project will include the following components:

Component 1 – Rehabilitation, modernization, and widening of about 78 km of International Road A380.

Component 2 – Construction Supervision.

Component 3 – Phase II Project Preparation. Preparation of design and biding documents for approximately additional 200 km of priority roads, includes:

Component 4 – Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building.

Component 5 – Equipment Purchase. Modern technologies and methods of construction require this component includes: use of technologically advanced equipment.

Procurement of contracts financed by the AIIB will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the AIIB Procurement Policies and its associated Procurement Directive (June 2, 2016) (“Procurement Directive”), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Directive.

Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online and AIIB external website.
